/ 12 - أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ السَّدُوسِيُّ قَالَ :

سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءً سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّا نَرْكَبُ أَسْفَارًا فَتَبْرُزُ لَنَا الْأَشْرِبَةُ فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ لَا نَدْرِي أَوْعِيَتَهَا ، فَقَالَ : كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ ، فَذَهَبَ يُعِيدُ ، فَقَالَ : كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ ، فَذَهَبَ يُعِيدُ ، فَقَالَ : هُوَ مَا أَقُولُ لَكَ

Prohibition of Every Drink that Intoxicates
Al-Aswad bin Shaiban As-Sadusi said: "I heard 'Ata' being asked by a man: 'We travel and drinks are offered to us in the marketplaces, and we do not know what kind of vessels they were prepared in.' He said: 'Every intoxicant is unlawful.' He repeated the question and he said: 'Every intoxicant is unlawful.' He repeated the question and he said: 'It is as I have told you.'"
